Chores

This week my mother decided that she was going to make me work for my allowance instead of just receiving it. She thinks that it will teach me responsibility and prepare me for when I grow up and move out. I don't think that she is being mean but it does continue to make me incredibly agitated. The good thing is that they are chores that I usually do anyways. I hate it when I have to clean out the hamster cage. I have to do it every week and it seems to never end! Oh well, I can't change her mind, so I'll just do my never ending chores and earn my ten bucks.

Math Anxiety

Today I decided to practice math online because I had a big case of math anxiety. Mr.Martz, the math teacher, sometimes picks random people to share their answers with the class. As you can guess, he calls on me, and with my heart pounding, I say my answer out loud and it is wrong. I don't get in any trouble or anything, but I still feel nervous in math class. So I decided I am going to practice math games and stuff to see if I can become faster at math and thus, be able to calculate larger amounts of data faster. Then maybe Mr.Martz will be impressed because I will be confident and raise my hand and actually want to share my answers. I hope I can get better at math because I don't want to be dumb, I REALLY don't.

Today's Fun

Yesterday I decided that I was going to make today an interesting day because I was tired of the regular do nothing special in school, so I did. I went to the Media Center at school today found this very intriguing book called "Five Equations That Changed The World". It is about equations like E=MC2 that has changed our everyday lives that most people don't realize. Although that was just a blast for a nerd like me, I had even more fun at German(Deutch) club celebrating Oktoberfest. We had an array of candy and chips neatly organized in a symmetrical pattern. In the background there was some festive German dance music. Then after having a satisfying amount of food we got to decorate heart shaped cookies because Germans decorate heart shaped ginger bread with love sayings as a tradition. I decorated mine with orange outline (goes with Halloween) and wrote in orange gel, "Happy Octoberfest!" and then put a couple of smily faces on it and coverd it in orange sugar crystals, then took a picture and ate it. After all that fun I helped Megan get the gewy guts out of a pumpkin we wanted to carve. It had moon shaped eyes with a round pupal in the center. It had a small round circular nose and a banana shaped smile that made it look cute. It was kind of a mess to clean up knowing that we got some on the classroom floor. But we managed to do it. We smelled like pumpkin after wards, but I managed to wash it off with some ordinary hand soap. I had a really great day, and the bus ride was shorter today than usual too! I even got to enjoy the afternoon eating my favorite food, tacos.

Friday and the Upcoming Weekend

This Friday we finally finished watching the odyssey at school. I sat near Tierra, Brandon, and Josh. I feel happy whenever I sit near Tierra. She always makes me laugh and smile and make it where I can actually enjoy the day, instead of being a bored slummy rock. I am so glad I met her. I don't know how happy I would be if she didn't go to my school. She helped me open up to new relationships at school and put a spark in me the lighted a great fire of inspiration that made me feel that me, slummy Adam could make new friends and be happy and not depressed. She is so nice and friendly that you almost feel you have to have her pressence. I wish I could see her over the weekend, but my father is too lazy to drive all the way to 42nd and Post to pick her up. Maybe she could see on my birthday weekend. Then my parents would be used to picking her up and might start taking her over. Whatever happens, I need to find a way to have her come over, and fast.
As for this Saturday, I am going to see a movie with Dale. We are going to see The City of Ember. I hope that me and Dale have a lot of fun because I don't spend as much time with him as I should. I hope I get to play with Jackie too. Even though I play with him every Saturday, it doesn't seem to be something that wears out over time. We always find something new to do. Well, I hope the weekend gives me good surprises. Whatever I do, it will be fun.

Today was a special day during 7th and 8th periods today at school. We are watching the Odyssey in Mr.Armbrusters and Mr.Spears class. I felt really tired today because I stayed up last night to talk to Tierra. I am starting to get better at Chess it seems. I have downloaded scratchpad.tk to type on funnyjunk.com. The R4DS card is awesome. It has many applications. You can download games for free of any rom you can imagine. You can even view web pages on this handy little device using it's wireless capabilites. It even has a useful organizer to write down your tasks and make a calander. Make sure you buy an R4DS card for your Nintindo DS!

Who I Am

Hello world. My name is Adam Joseph Boyle and I am a 14 year old Freshman in high school. I like science a lot and like to read lots of scientific magazines. I really like any kind of music that does not have weird screaming in it. I live in America in the state of Indiana and the city of Indianapolis. I am an only child and live with my mother and father. I really like to meet new people at school, on the go, on the web, or where ever and make new social connections whenever I can. I used to be a real shy person a few years ago, but now I am opening up to new friendships since high school rocks so much. Well, that pretty much summarizes who I am in one paragraph. WHat kind of person are you? What are your interests? Please tell me more by leaving a comment and maybe you Yahoo!Messenger ID if you are someone who like to chat.
